Job Description

The IT Business Development Team mainly supports the Development Teams at ABOUT YOU Tech in structuring and optimizing their projects and processes. To achieve this they closely work together with the top management as well as the Tech & Product Leads of the company. The Team’s responsibilities vary a lot from managing projects with other tech team leads e.g. external software as a service selection, negotiation and migrations, IT investment cases, cost saving, and projects helping other leads to find the perfect team processes.

As a Junior IT Cost Project Manager, you will support various cost-related projects (e.g., AWS cost optimization) and collaborate with one of the founders to address challenges in our tech teams, aiming to build a cost-efficient tech company.

What you will do

• Assist in managing tech projects lasting between 2 weeks and 6 months, such as IT cost-saving initiatives, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
• Collaborate with IT project managers, controllers, and technical leads to enhance overall business value.
• Support end-to-end contract management tasks (planning, negotiating, monitoring contracts, invoice verification, and conducting tenders for optimal price/value).
• Help prepare reports, including monthly cost reports and KPI reports, in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Aid in planning and managing the IT budget across multiple teams for IT vendors and hosting costs.
• Gain insights into a variety of projects, processes, tools, and advanced technologies (e.g., AWS, Datadog) while working with different teams.
• Discuss and report project statuses with leads, top management, and tech & product leads regularly.
• Identify problems and assist in finding efficient and practical solutions.
• Work in an international and agile environment with flat hierarchies and quick decision-making processes.

Who you are

• At least 2 years of experience in agile IT project management.
• Eager to learn new technologies.
• Some experience with contract negotiations and managing IT projects.
• Analytical and efficient, focused on achieving set goals.
• Strong organizational skills, with a structured approach to work.
• Proactive, hands-on, and creative in problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience in IT consulting.
• An analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
