As a Network Security Consultant, you will be required to assess and enhance the security frameworks of the organisation. The responsibilities are multifaceted and require a blend of technical knowledge and strategic thinking and include the following key functions:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Implementation of Security solutions:

  • Advise and assist technical teams in designing and implementing robust security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies to safeguard data.
  • Comprehensive Security Audits: Conducting detailed evaluations of existing network security measures to identify vulnerabilities.

Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Analysing potential threats and their impact on the organisation.
  • This includes developing risk mitigation strategies tailored to the specific needs of the business.

Incident Response:

  • When a security breach occurs, lead the incident response, investigate the breach, mitigate its impact, and develop strategies to prevent future incident.

Mitigation Strategies:

  • Based on the risk analysis, develop mitigation strategies that reduce the likelihood and impact of potential security incidents. These strategies might include the implementation of new security technologies, staff training, or changes to network architecture

    Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Degree/Master in IT or engineering or equivalent (CCNP, CCIE)
    • At least 5 years of experience in network and security

    Knowledge of the following:

    • Illumio
    • IPS/IDS
    • Firewall
    • Proxy
    • WAF
    • Network Segmentation (Micro segmentation)
    • Excellent communication (French and English) and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder engagement.
    • Sound knowledge in ITIL, IT operations, project methodology and tools.
    • Self-driven & motivated, tenacious problem solver will own issues until full resolution.
    • Ability to carry out tasks to a high standard with a strong eye for attention to detail and thorough approach to their work.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent judgement, and possess a passion for continuous learning.

    Nice to Have:

    • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor will be an advantage
    • GCIH – GIAC Incident Handler Certification will be an advantage
    • Knowledge on the following regulations: Network and Information Systems 2 Directive (NIS2), Digital Operation Resilience Act (DORA), National Institute Standard Technology (NIST)
