THE WORK:
- You’ll oversee inspection of civil and structural construction activities for utility and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design documents, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
- You’ll provide inspection oversight at natural gas compressor stations, pipeline facilities, and public utility sites, with a strong emphasis on environmental compliance, public safety, and operational continuity.
- You’ll supervise and coordinate civil and structural inspectors across multiple job sites, including active utility facilities and compressor stations.You’ll inspect grading, earthwork, foundations, structural concrete, and drainage systems.
- You’ll ensure construction activities comply with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
- You’ll oversee construction within operational facilities while maintaining safety and minimizing service disruptions.
- You’ll monitor civil work associated with compressor stations, including equipment foundations, access roads, and underground utilities.You’ll verify material testing activities, including soil compaction, concrete testing, and rebar placement.You’ll coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve construction and design issues.
- You’ll review inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and punch lists.You’ll interface with contractors, utility representatives, and regulatory agencies.You’ll support audits and regulatory inspections.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- • 10–15+ years of civil inspection experience in infrastructure, utilities, or heavy civil projects
• Experience working in or around active utility or industrial facilities
• Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, and applicable construction standards
• Experience with environmental compliance such as stormwater and erosion control
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- ICC Certification
- NICET Certification
- ACI Certification
- OSHA 30 or higher
- SWPPP-related certifications (QSP/QSD) preferred
- Experience with natural gas compressor station construction or upgrades
- Familiarity with utility safety and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing multiple construction sites simultaneously
- Ability to work in remote or secured project locations
