THE WORK:

  • You’ll lead and supervise welding, coating, civil, utility, and environmental inspectors.
  • You’ll oversee all phases of pipeline construction, including ROW clearing, trenching, welding, coating, lowering-in, backfilling, and hydrostatic testing.
  • You’ll ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and all project specifications.
  • You’ll oversee pipeline work near compressor stations and aboveground facilities, including tie-ins and commissioning support.
  • You’ll monitor contractor QA/QC programs and verify welding, coating, and material traceability.
  • You’ll maintain accurate inspection documentation, including weld logs, inspection reports, and as-built records.
  • You’ll coordinate closely with engineering, construction, operations, and environmental teams.
  • You’ll support regulatory inspections and audits.You’ll oversee work in public and environmentally sensitive areas, including road, rail, and utility crossings.You’ll ensure strict adherence to safety standards, procedures, and safe work practices.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 12–20 years of pipeline construction experience
  • Prior Chief Inspector or similar leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of PHMSA 49 CFR Part 192 regulations
  • Experience in natural gas pipeline construction and active utility environments

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

    • API 1169
    • AWS CWI
    • NACE (AMPP) Level 2 or higher
    • OSHA 30 or higher
    • Experience with compressor station tie-ins or station piping
    • Familiarity with environmental compliance and permitting requirements
    • Experience with HDD or trenchless installations
    • Ability to manage multiple spreads or concurrent projects
