Job Summary:

The Statutory Compliance – Legal Team supports the organization in ensuring adherence to statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements across India. The role is responsible for conducting compliance checks, maintaining governance documentation, monitoring risks, and supporting continuous improvements in compliance processes.

This individual acts as a key link between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely compliance, risk mitigation, and effective communication of statutory requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the relevant statutory enactments, emphasis to labour laws and carry out the compliances
  • Handle inspections, audits and ongoing compliance activities under various central and state enactments with the collaboration of internal and external stakeholders
  • Carry out periodical filings under various labour law enactments and prepare registers & records.
  • Interact with external consultants regularly for compliance required under applicable laws.
  • Work on compliance management process and track compliance status across functions in co-ordination with Stakeholders
  • Work closely and collaboratively with stakeholders such as Business, Legal, HR, Procurement, Controllership and Workplace to handle statutory and regulatory compliance related issues.
  • Participate in the process improvement implementations
  • Record management and coordinate with internal as well as cross functional teams.
  • Maintain and update compliance calendar, trackers, periodical reports and repositories.
  • Conduct risk assessments and analyze data to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks.

    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
    • Prepare and present reports on compliance and risk management activities.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Compliance Management System.

    Job Qualification:
    Additional Information:
    - The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background in Law or a related field, along with good knowledge and experience in relevant country compliance.
    - This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
