Explore, learn, and grow.
Are you a Master's student and do you want to learn how technology can help shape the future of our government and healthcare clients?

At Accenture the Netherlands, you’ll explore how AI, security, and large-scale transformation projects can deliver measurable value at our health and public service clients. During your internship, you will be mentored and guided by experienced consultants, gaining practical skills that will be valuable throughout your entire career. This internship challenges you to combine your academic curiosity and innovative mindset to create real societal value through technologies and change initiatives.

📅 Internship duration: 4 to 6 months

📄 Application: Submit your CV and a motivation letter explaining your interest in Accenture the Netherlands and this internship role. In your motivation letter, please clearly indicate your preferred start date, the duration of your internship, and whether you are applying for a working internship or a thesis internship.

🛠️ What you'll do: As an intern, you will collaborate with dedicated consultants on real client engagements, supporting organizations such as various ministries with national and international dependencies, (academic) hospitals and justice and public safety institutions in becoming more digital, agile, and future-ready.
You will gain practical experience with innovative technologies while contributing to meaningful projects that create real value for our clients, delivering tangible benefits such as cost savings, handling cases more efficiently and quickly, or optimizing their processes.

You can choose between two internship formats:

  • Working Internship: During your working internship, you will have the opportunity to shape your own experience and explore your personal interests. You’ll be involved in a variety of projects, including business analyses, stakeholders and market analyses, assisting in the development of business proposals, and researching clients’ systems and functionalities. You will also be encouraged to bring your own ideas and initiative, allowing you to challenge yourself and make the most out of your internship.

  • Thesis Internship: During your thesis internship, you will be encouraged to select a topic that is both relevant to your studies and valuable for one of our clients. Throughout this process, you will be provided with all the guidance and resources needed to successfully complete your thesis. In addition, you are expected to contribute to the HPS team, performing tasks similar to those described for the working internship.

We support a range of research topics, for example:

  • Digital transformation in healthcare and government, including the role of cloud technology in public service delivery and safeguarding public values.

  • Accessibility and inclusivity of digital services, particularly for low-literate or digitally less skilled residents.

  • The impact of digital health solutions (e-health, AI-driven triage, and interoperable systems) on care quality, efficiency, and personalization

  • The responsible and ethical use of AI in public sector applications, including areas like fraud detection and decision-making processes.

  • Cybersecurity and digital resilience within defense as a client domain, for example protecting critical infrastructure, enhancing secure communication, and safeguarding sensitive data.
