Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing and developing tailored software solutions that address unique business requirements. The role includes coding and enhancing various components within systems or applications, ensuring that the solutions are scalable and perform efficiently. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adapting to agile methodologies are integral parts of the daily workflow, enabling continuous improvement and timely delivery of high-quality software products.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align software development activities with business objectives.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe environments and batch processing.
- Experience in debugging and optimizing legacy code for performance improvements.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex system requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe.
- This position is based at our Coimbatore office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
