Summary:
As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless service delivery, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency. You will engage in proactive monitoring and maintenance of systems, ensuring that all services meet the required standards and performance metrics. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting processes and providing insights to improve service delivery and operational practices.

Looking for an experienced Cloud Service Lead, focusing on cloud and infrastructure support along with Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate, and Kubernetes . This role combines hands-on technical responsibilities with essential shift management tasks. The specific responsibilities focus on managing, maintaining, and optimizing container orchestration platforms (Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate, and Kubernetes). This role ensures the stability, scalability, and security of containerized workloads while driving automation, monitoring, and operational excellence across cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities-

Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure container orchestration solutions across AWS environments using Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
Maintain container runtime environments and orchestrators.
Ensure proper resource allocation, scaling, and scheduling of workloads.
Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Dyanatrace etc).
Troubleshoot container, task, and cluster-level issues.
Integrate ECS, Fargate, and Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Automate deployments, scaling, and upgrades using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation).
Promote DevOps best practices across teams.
Implement RBAC, IAM roles, and network policies for secure access control.
Apply patches, upgrades, and vulnerability fixes to container platforms.
Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.
Handle escalations promptly and effectively.
Perform regular maintenance and updates to prevent downtime.
Create and maintain technical documentation and guides.
Train team members on best practices and new processes.
Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of cloud-based systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems.

Technical Experience-

Strong work experience on public cloud services mainly on Cloud VMs, Storage, Shared Storage, Networking , scaling, messaging , and other IaaS and basic idea of PaaS Services.
Possess good knowledge on CI/CD tools like GitHub and Jenkins.
Hands-on experience managing Amazon ECS clusters, AWS Fargate tasks, and Kubernetes environments.
Skilled in deploying, scaling, and maintaining containerized applications across cloud-native platforms.
Proficient in configuring ECS services, task definitions, and Kubernetes manifests
Hands-on experience managing Amazon ECS clusters, AWS Fargate tasks, and Kubernetes environments, including deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of containerized applications.
Skilled in Terraform, Helm, and CloudFormation for Infrastructure-as-Code, with integration into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Applied IAM roles, RBAC policies, and network security controls, managed secrets, and ensured compliance through patching and vulnerability remediation.
Configured VPCs, load balancers, service meshes (Istio/Linkerd), and auto-scaling policies for ECS/Fargate tasks and Kubernetes pods.
Partnered with developers and DevOps teams to support production workloads, ensuring high availability, resilience, and operational excellence.

Good verbal and written communication skills to connect with customers at varying levels of the organization.
Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision.


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in DevOps.
