Summary:
We are looking for Backend Engineers (Analyst and Senior Analyst levels) to support our Supergraph initiative, focused on consolidating and scaling backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL.
We are looking for engineers with proven hands-on backend development skills, strong ownership, and the ability to write high-quality, modular, and maintainable code. Candidates who are creative and effective in using GenAI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance productivity will be strongly preferred.
Experience with Apollo Supergraph and real-world GraphQL implementations is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (All Levels)
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and GraphQL APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Contribute to the Supergraph architecture, including schema design, federation, and service composition.
- Write clean, modular, testable, and production-ready code with a strong emphasis on quality.
- Leverage GenAI tools (e.g., for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, or debugging) in a responsible and effective manner.
- Build, test, and deploy services in cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem-solving.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in security, performance, reliability, and observability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and pre-production issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for services, APIs, and workflows.
- Additional Responsibilities – Senior Analyst
- Take end-to-end ownership of complex backend components or services.
- Drive design decisions for GraphQL schemas, service boundaries, and integrations.
- Mentor junior engineers and review code with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
- Proactively identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with product, platform, and DevOps stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Must have 4 years of experience and Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js backend frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Express, Fastify).
- Must have 4 years of experience and Hands-on experience building GraphQL APIs (queries, mutations, resolvers).
- Solid understanding of backend fundamentals: REST, microservices, API design, and data flows.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern development workflows.
- Ability to write well-structured, modular, and testable code.
GenAI & Productivity
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use GenAI tools to:
- Accelerate development
- Improve code quality
- Assist in debugging, refactoring, and documentation
- Strong judgment in balancing AI assistance with engineering rigor.
Professional Skills
- High ownership mindset and accountability for deliverables.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently in a contractor setup while collaborating with a distributed team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Apollo Federation / Apollo Supergraph.
- Real-world experience operating GraphQL at scale.
- Exposure to Java Spring Boot or mixed-technology backend ecosystems.
- Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing).
- Prior experience working on platform or infrastructure-oriented backend systems.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Node.js.
- This position is based at our Gurugram Client office and work from client site is mandatory for 3 days/week
- A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
