THE WORK:
- You'll assist with HVAC DDC and EMS Design and Submittal reviews.
- You'll assist in reviewing utility data and energy usage to identify schools for recommissioning and retro
commissioning. - You'll assist in reviewing EMS, energy data, and alarms to identify no cost/low-cost energy conservation and preventive maintenance measures.
- You'll perform site visits to investigate and evaluate EMS/DDC conditions on identified projects
- You'll scope out and implement low-cost solutions or alternatives to projects/repairs of EMS systems at
existing school sites - You'll respond to trouble calls, calibrate systems, and troubleshoot and resolve basic electrical and DDC problems
- You'll assist in managing In-House Commissioning Projects.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering (mechanical, computer science, electrical, information technology) OR Two-year technical degree in HVAC, Electronics-related studies with additional 2 years of experience to compensate for education on a year-for-year basis
- Minimum of three (3) years’ professional experience as an HVAC DDC technician
- Understanding of computer networking principles, including configuration, maintenance, and
troubleshooting - Ability to wire, start up, and troubleshoot basic HVAC DDC maintenance issues
- Fundamental understanding of HVAC operations within a facility.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience working with multiple DDC manufacturers including Automated Logic, Carrier, Delta,
Distech, Schneider Electric, or Trane - Proven ability to debug installation issues during both static and dynamic start-up phases
- Experience supporting installation personnel and other contractors on project sites
- Extensive experience in performing or assisting in performance of commissioning of EMS
