Summary:
As a Packaged or Software as a Service Application Engineer, a typical day involves configuring and supporting packaged or SaaS applications to meet evolving business requirements. This role requires managing application features, overseeing release processes, and ensuring the overall stability and performance of systems. The engineer works closely with various tools, application programming interfaces, and low-code platforms to tailor solutions that align with organizational goals while maintaining compatibility across different environments. Collaboration with multiple teams and continuous monitoring of application health are integral parts of daily activities to deliver seamless user experiences.
We are looking for engineers to support the migration of legacy Linux-based data capture platforms from CentOS 7 to Rocky 9, including modernization of C++ services, automation frameworks, and data pipeline components.
Key Responsibilities:
Support migration of servers from CentOS 7 to Rocky 9 across multiple environments.
Review and update Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories to ensure successful automation on the new OS.
Validate and troubleshoot system-level dependencies, libraries, and package compatibility.
Deploy, configure, and support distributed services such as:
Kafka
ClickHouse Proxy
Zookeeper
Perform system validation, performance checks, and post-migration verification.
Required Skills:
Experience with Kafka and distributed data systems
Good understanding of Linux system internals, packages, and networking
Familiarity with shell scripting for system operations and troubleshooting
Good to have skill
Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation
Experience in C++ development on Linux/Unix platforms
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Apache Kafka.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
