The NEU / Accenture Products and Platforms organization is responsible for key platform offerings across areas such as insurance, learning, cloud-hosted services, and AI-enabled product innovation. Our teams combine product engineering, cloud architecture, site reliability engineering, security, DevOps, and managed operations to deliver enterprise-grade platforms that are secure, scalable, resilient, and ready for complex client environments. This role sits within the NEU / APP Cloud Center of Excellence, supporting strategic platforms such as LearnVantage and ALIP hosted services, and helping strengthen the organization’s senior cloud, SRE, automation, and L3 SME capabilities. You Are: You are a senior cloud architecture and Site Reliability Engineering professional with deep hands-on experience designing, implementing, automating, and operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms. You combine Azure architecture expertise with advanced DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and production operations capabilities. Currently you are aligned to the Avanade Spain organization, that has been sourcing many of our stronger SMEs working on Microsoft-specific platforms for the past 10 years. You will be part of the NEU / APP Cloud Center of Excellence, supporting strategic Accenture software and platform offerings such as LearnVantage and ALIP hosted services. The role provides senior technical leadership across cloud architecture, SRE operations, production reliability, automation, and L3 support for complex, business-critical platforms. This role is intended to act as a key capability anchor for NEU / APP’s cloud, SRE, and platform growth agenda, helping scale a strong onshore L3 SME layer in Madrid while supporting global delivery teams, product engineering teams, and client-facing platform operations. The Work: Design, govern, and evolve Cloud-based (AWS, Azure, GCP) reference architectures, landing zones, and production cloud environments for strategic APP platforms. Lead SRE practices for critical platforms, including incident management, problem management, operational readiness, SLIs / SLOs, error budgets, reliability engineering, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and self-healing patterns. Act as a senior AWS, Azure and Kubernetes architect for platform implementations and major cloud enhancements, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, compliant, and cost efficient. Develop, maintain, and evolve advanced Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks using Terraform, OpenTofu, AzureRM, ARM, PowerShell, and related automation technologies. Build and maintain 1-click deployment and environment setup capabilities for complex multi-tenant and multi-environment platform architectures. Define, improve, and operate CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes to enable secure, reliable, repeatable, and auditable delivery of platform changes. Serve as an L3 escalation point for complex technical issues and high-severity production incidents across strategic hosted platforms. Partner with product engineering, security, operations, and delivery teams to ensure platform solutions meet Accenture and client standards. Provide technical mentorship to onshore and offshore cloud, DevOps, and SRE engineers, helping build and scale a robust L3 SME capability in Madrid. Support strategic client-funded hosted services and platform operations, including engagements such as New York Life, Allianz, Challenger / APOLLO, and similar enterprise clients. Contribute to MD&I Cloud CoE initiatives, platform accelerators, internal tooling, proofs of concept, and cross-product innovation initiatives. Support pre-sales and solutioning activities when deep cloud, SRE, automation, or platform engineering expertise is required. Travel is not generally required for this role.Here s What You Need Minimum of 8 years of hands on experience managing large scale Azure and AWS production environments, preferably for complex financial services platforms, SaaS platforms, multi tenant platforms, or equivalent business critical systems. Deep experience as a senior SRE, Cloud Operations Lead, L3 RunOps specialist, or equivalent role supporting high availability production platforms. Strong Azure, AWS and Kubernetes architecture expertise, including design and implementation of cloud reference architectures, landing zones, networking, identity, security, monitoring, resilience, and operational patterns. Proven experience leading production operations for critical platforms, including incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, service reliability improvement, and operational readiness. Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience, including Terraform and or OpenTofu, AzureRM, ARM templates, PowerShell, and automation scripting. Experience designing and implementing CI CD pipelines and DevOps practices across build, test, deploy, release, and operational support stages. Demonstrated experience building automated deployment frameworks, including 1 click or highly automated environment provisioning for enterprise grade platforms. Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, runbooks, SLI SLO definition, error budgets, capacity management, resilience engineering, and self healing operations. Strong expertise with Dynatrace monitoring suite used intensively on our key platforms Ability to operate as an L3 escalation point for complex cloud, infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability issues. Ability to work effectively with executive technical leadership, product engineering teams, security teams, delivery teams, and client stakeholders. Solid communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics at both detailed engineering level and strategic leadership level.
