Job Summary:
As an Application Lead, you will oversee the design, development, and configuration of enterprise applications, specifically focusing on SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). You will serve as the central point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into scalable and efficient application solutions. You will also lead cross-functional teams, manage application lifecycle stages, and ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards.
Functional Responsibilities:
Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, gathering and analyzing business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
Collaborate with business process owners to define and enforce master data standards, policies, and governance practices. Hands in MDG configuration, workflows, governance aspects.
Lead the design and implementation of SAP MDG functional modules, including but not limited to:
Customer
Vendor
Material
Finance (as applicable)
Define data models, workflows, and validation rules aligned with business objectives.
Conduct fit-gap analysis, recommend process improvements, and ensure best practices are followed.
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), training, and change management efforts.
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and lead enhancement initiatives as business needs evolve.
Technical & Professional Responsibilities:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP MDG.
Manage and mentor the technical team oversee performance and delivery.
Make informed decisions on behalf of the team and represent them in stakeholder discussions.
Drive problem resolution and root cause analysis for issues spanning across teams.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and ensure upskilling of team members.
Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring timely achievement of milestones and deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Have: Hands-on expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
In-depth understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and compliance.
Strong functional knowledge of master data objects and associated business processes.
Experience in application design, configuration, and lifecycle management.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative and agile environment.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).15 years full time education
