THE WORK:
- You’ll conduct routine onsite inspections of accessible areas, including safety observations, reporting, and follow-up on identified issues.
- You’ll support hazard identification, risk assessments, and control measures for High-Risk Activities (HRAs), including lifting plans, permits, and task planning.
- You’ll engage with project stakeholders, general contractors, and subcontractors to verify EHS implementation and compliance with project expectations.
- You’ll review and maintain EHS documentation, including training records, competency verification, inspection records, and site-specific EHS plans.
- You’ll track and report EHS performance, including KPIs, findings, trends, and corrective and preventive actions.
- You’ll support incident and near-miss reporting and investigations, ensuring actions are properly tracked, documented, and closed.
- You’ll participate in emergency preparedness planning and verify site readiness and response procedures.
- You’ll complete assigned inspections, observations, assessments, audits, and other EHS-related activities.
- You’ll participate in safety meetings, training sessions, safety walks, toolbox talks, and awareness activities.
- You’ll provide EHS training and onboarding support as required.
- You’ll monitor the implementation of project-specific Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Plans and Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP).
- You’ll proactively identify EHS risks, hazards, opportunities, and requirements related to project facilities, activities, and personnel.
- You’ll support compliance with applicable legislation, project requirements, and industry safety best practices.
- You’ll collaborate with project teams and contractors to promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 4–5+ years of EHS or construction safety experience
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Experience with site inspections, audits, safety observations, and High-Risk Activities (HRAs)
- Experience managing EHS documentation, reporting, and corrective actions
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems
- Professional-level English proficiency, written and verbal
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Data center, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial construction experience, strongly preferred
