You are:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architecture Manager to support a large-scale SAP migration and modernization program within the Energy industry. The role will lead technical architecture, SAP migration planning, SAP HANA migration readiness, cloud infrastructure coordination, integration remediation planning, testing support, cutover readiness, disaster recovery planning, and post-go-live stabilization. This role is critical to the successful migration of a complex SAP landscape from a legacy data center environment to a modern SAP HANA-based platform hosted in Azure.

The Work:

  • Lead SAP technical architecture and migration strategy.

  • Define the target SAP landscape architecture across SAP application, database, infrastructure, cloud, network, security, and disaster recovery domains.

  • Lead SAP OS/DB migration planning and SAP HANA migration activities.

  • Support DMO/System Move planning, technical migration sequencing, mock migrations, production cutover, and stabilization activities.

  • Coordinate SAP environment build requirements with infrastructure and cloud teams.

  • Drive technical governance across SAP Basis, infrastructure, integration, security, testing, and application teams.

  • Coordinate custom code (RICEFW), interface, and integration remediation activities. Support regression testing, SIT, UIT, cutover rehearsals, and production go-live readiness.

  • Define DR requirements, recovery testing, and RTO/RPO validation activities.

  • Manage technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to onshore and offshore technical teams.

  • Support client-facing architecture discussions, solution planning, and delivery governance.

Here’s What you need:

  • SAP OS/DB Migration Certification (mandatory requirement).

  • 10+ years of SAP Basis, SAP Technical Architecture, or SAP Platform experience.

  • Hands-on experience leading SAP OS/DB migrations and SAP HANA migrations.

  • Experience with DMO with System Move or equivalent SAP migration methodology. Experience with SAP ECC, NetWeaver, SAP HANA, SAP Gateway, SAP Portal, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM.

  • Experience with SAP workloads on Azure or other enterprise cloud platforms.

  • Experience supporting SAP cutover planning, mock migrations, production go-live, and hypercare.

  • Strong understanding of SAP disaster recovery, backup/recovery, high availability, and operational readiness.

  • Candidates must have hands-on SAP OS/DB Migration experience and hold a valid SAP OS/DB Migration certification (or equivalent SAP-certified database migration credential).

Bonus Points:

  • SAP S/4HANA Conversion and SAP System Upgrade certification.

  • Experience with large-scale SAP transformation, migration, or carve-out programs.

  • Experience coordinating SAP technical, functional, infrastructure, security, and integration workstreams.

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
