Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Drive a high standard of Visual Merchandising [VM] and Brand and Product Learning [BPL] via the management and coordination of external agency/s providing sell-out services and support for Wholesale channels, if necessary for OR, throughout Europe
  • Ensure that stores/doors receive VM & BPL service support relevant to Store- and Branded Space-formats which could outperform Brand- and Commercial KPI´s in line with strategic business plan
  • Monitor and identify improved processes for flawless execution of VM & BPL programs and projects, with consideration to operating rhythms, accuracy of briefs and measurement of agency/s performance
  • Promote VM & BPL as a P&L contributor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build solid relationships with external agencies to influence the visual presentation of adidas product and product learning skills required to confidently sell adidas product, in line with the brand direction and Service Level Agreements for defined channels
  • Improve processes:
    • Monitor other Retail industry (brick and mortar and digital) for best practices that can be adapted for Brand adidas
    • Contribute to driving for industry leading innovations in cooperation with Director VM & Brand and Product Training Europe at both the consumer level and implementation practices
    • Follow defined Framework and the Company’s Strategic Business Plan
  • Analyze and evaluate VM & BPL Initiatives and external agency performance against defined KPI’s e.g., NPS, UPT, CR
  • Manage Resources:
    • Manage annual agency/program budgets and report back to controlling and Director VM&BPL and Sen Manager VM & BPL
    • Create Purchase Orders [POs] and own associated ‘PO’ associated responsibilities
    • Manage project budgets (as assigned)
  • Lead common projects across both VM & BPL functions, e.g., Seasonal Summits/Events
  • Take over people responsibilities (if applicable)
  • Additional assignments or special projects as assigned or agreed
  • Act as an adidas brand ambassador

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Work independently and collaboratively
  • Analyse and build recommendations based on findings
  • Strong organisation skills and flexibility
  • Proven track record in project management, coordination and stakeholder management
  • English fluent: verbal, written & spoken. Another European language is an advantage
  • IT: Microsoft Office advanced

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Business or Marketing Degree
  • 2-4 years’ experience in corporate roles
  • 1+ years working with Global markets or 1+ years working in a top tier adidas market
  • 1+ year’s management experience
