About the role
You will be part of the Industrial Automation Organization at Agile Robots SE (Germany). If you are passionate about robotics, have a knack for software vision components, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we invite you to join our team and play a key role in driving the success of our robot solutions. As a Software Engineer (Vision/3D) you are responsible for designing and implementing software solutions related to computer vision, 3D imaging, and automation. Your expertise will contribute to improving efficiency and productivity in industrial processes. In close collaboration with Sales, Production, and the Industrial Automation team you generate new value for our customers.
Your Responsibilities
  • Computer Vision and 3D Imaging: Develop and implement computer vision algorithms and models to extract meaningful information from visual data. Work with software engineers to integrate computer vision technology into large-scale automation systems. Optimize computer vision models for real-time performance on embedded devices or web applications
  • Industrial Automation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and develop solutions. Design and implement industrial automation systems to improve efficiency and productivity Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects
  • Software Development: Write efficient and reliable code using relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++). Collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless integration of vision and automation components
  • Documentation and Testing: Create detailed documentation for computer vision algorithms, system architecture, and automation processes. Develop and maintain automated test suites for vision-related features
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay informed about advancements in computer vision, 3D imaging, and automation technologies. Explore new tools, libraries, and techniques to enhance system performance and accuracy
Your Profile
  • You are fluent in English and German
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in computer vision techniques, including object detection, image segmentation, and feature extraction.
  • Experience with 3D imaging technologies (e.g., LiDAR, depth sensors, stereo vision).
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, and C++
  • Previous experience in Hardware and AI-software solutions for industrial automation
  • Independent, thorough and team-oriented describes your attitude toward work
  • You are enthusiastic, a good communicator, highly motivated, and supportive
  • Available for travel up to 40%
