- Design and develop C++20 software for our control stack (motion planning, full-body control, parameter identification, performance tests)
- Collaborate with other teams on the robot system architecture
- Write software tests and define hardware testing procedures
- Give constructive code and architecture reviews
- Work hands-on with our robotic systems
- Investigate and evaluate novel robotic technologies and algorithms
- Evaluate and push the performance of our real-time systems
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience with modern C++ development (7+ preferred)
- A dedication to good coding practices and a pragmatic way of thinking
- Experience with robotic hardware systems or other transferable hardware knowledge
- A good understanding of Linux operating systems, good troubleshooting and software debugging skills
- Experience with common software engineering tools(e.g. Git, docker, build systems, software packaging)
- The capability to work and communicate entirely in English
Beneficial Skills
- Deep expertise in robot Kinematics and Dynamics
- A strong academic background in control engineering
- Hands-on experience in parameter identification and controller tuning
- Good programming skills in Python or similar language
- Experience in maintaining and extending our CI/CD pipelines
