About the role

We are seeking a talented and passionate UX/UI Designer (m/f/d) to join our dynamic startup in the robotics domain. In this role you will play a critical role in shaping the user interface for our high-level robot software platform. This platform enables system integrators and operators to program robots and create automation solutions with ease and efficiency. Your creative vision and technical expertise will be instrumental in delivering a seamless user experience that empowers our customers to leverage the full potential of robotics and automation.

Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with our software development teams to gather requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our robot software platform
  • User experience: Apply various UX design techniques. We use user stories, personas, customer journey mapping, and are open to additional methods from your experience.
  • Ability to work with complex data and inputs: Cluster and structure information together with the design and product team.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and preferences.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mock-ups to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
  • Develop a consistent design language and visual style guide aligned with our brand identity and usability best practices.
  • Iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback, incorporating usability principles and industry trends.
  • Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs, providing guidance and support throughout the development process.
  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends, UI/UX techniques, and emerging technologies in the robotics domain.
  • Advocate for the user by championing user-centered design principles and ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in the user interface.
  • Create animations to visualize workflows and processes.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer in an agency or corporate environment (post-graduation).
  • Strong interest in robotics and the automation industry.
  • Experience designing B2B products in an industrial or robotics context.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
  • Self-motivated and agile learner.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Professional-level English proficiency.
