Software Developer / Architect for embedded real time software in Avionics (d/f/m) (d/f/m)

We develop software for airborne mission systems and applications.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded avionics software for aerospace systems, also for combat air systems

  • Perform assessment of user requirements and support customer discussions

  • Develop AI and deep learning algorithms to improve system functionality, such as sensor data processing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions into avionics systems.

  • Ensure compliance with aviation industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254) and safety-critical software development practices.

  • Conduct testing, validation, and verification of software to meet aerospace requirements.

  • Conduct HW/SW integration in complex hybrid environments

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Master degree or Bachelor with 4+ years of specific experience in Design, develop, and maintain embedded avionics software for aerospace systems, also for combat air systems

  • Proven experience in embedded software development for avionics or aerospace applications

  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and/or Ada and real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks)

  • Proven experience in working in defence programs with security classification

  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and deep learning techniques

  • Familiarity with avionics standards (e.g., ARINC 653, DO-178C) and safety-critical software development

  • English fluent, German would be a plus
