VIE Project Management Office (d/f/m)

You will be part of a high value programme for the German customer requiring a strong, skilled and highly motivated multifunctional team.
The Project Management Office shall provide a centre of excellence to deliver methods, processes and tools in support to Programme and Project Managers and act as co-pilot, proactively driving the project’s different Project Management processes together with the Project Manager. This includes the various Project Management (PM) disciplines such as:
Project governance and communication
Integrated planning
Risk and opportunity management
Preparation of reviews
Internal and external reporting
Programme monitoring

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). VIE Main Requirements:
European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old (a V.I.E mission can begin no later than the day of the twenty-ninth birthday)
Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any
Must be registered on the Mon Volontariat International website before the age of 28 For more information: https://mon-vie-via.businessfrance.fr/ (in English, German, Italian and Spanish) The contract duration of VIE is between 6 to 24 months.
A VIE for an assembly specialist has arisen within Airbus Operations in Germany. You will join the OMTAI department in the Assembly Technology Innovation Team in Manufacturing Engineering. We are a team of experts and specialists committed to improving our current production systems and defining technologies that will shape our future manufacturing processes. Our team generates value on the shop floor by implementing new technologies and processes, keeping operators at the heart of all what we are doing.
Your tasks:
You will maintain the Project Management Plan and ensure the project’s adherence to this plan
You will manage the Project Management digital ecosystem to operate the project
You will prepare and facilitate meetings and support preparation of project milestones
You will maintain the project’s action register and drive the timely closure of actions
You will coordinate the preparation of reports in various formats for both internal and external customers
You will maintain the project’s integrated plan in the appropriate toolset, embedding inputs from all contributing stakeholders
You will maintain the Risk and Opportunity (R&O) Management Plan of the project, the R&O register, including the facilitation, capture, and assessment of risks and opportunities
You will drive the definition and follow-up of R&O mitigation actions
You will proactively seek out and implement improvements in your way of working, and in the overall execution of the project
Desired skills and qualifications
You have successfully completed studies in Engineering or Business Administration (some professional experience in project execution is a plus but not a must have)
You are able to understand technical complexities and risks of our projects
You can anticipate needs and issues in support of the Project Manager and act as co-pilot
You have excellent communication and facilitation skills
You feel comfortable working across functions, in international teams and environments, and influencing and persuading stakeholders amid conflicting priorities
You master typical office applications and are generally well-versed in digital tools
You have a very good command of German and English (written and spoken)
You are able to get security clearances (GE national)
