Job Description:
The job holder will be part of the Aerostructures Data Management Team of Structures Department within Airbus Group India Private Limited.
Business Operational Support Engineer at Airbus India (BOS-Airframe) is responsible for providing reactive & proactive support to the Airframe design community in the context of Airbus Design process,methods and tools. The successful candidate will also work with the process owner team and large solutions in improving the process
As BOS DMU & PGA engineer , you will be responsible for supporting DMU applications, cDMU process, support PDM/TDM/DMU team with data movement across different applications and do proactive gap analysis to support the design office.
You will also develop yourself into Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relevant transverse topics
Key Responsibilities:
The job holder will be the first Point of Contact for internal & external users for any support required in the context of DMU & QC tools.
Manage & resolve Design incidents (L2 level – Reactive) for support in assessment, assignment, validation and process compliance monitoring.
Do proactive gap analysis in supporting new tool/process deployments.
Support data movement/loading across different applications.
Demonstrate skills on stakeholder coordination, technical discussions/reviews, milestones achievement in line with business / customer needs
Identify the relevant specialist, categorize to define a proactive action/solution and build knowledge management through articles.
Formalise and evaluate potential improvements, and make proposals to Airbus Design Office Domains for improvements.
Create awareness & provide support on new or updated procedures related to Design requirements to stakeholders.
Network & liaise with a broad range of Design sub-domains.
Contribute to reviews, provide technical support to peers and involved stakeholders.
Comply with ways of working agreed between European Engineering Entities and the Indian Centre ensuring effective communication is established and maintained.
Ensure the appropriate reporting and publishing on his/her activities, with a focus on the process followed, achievements and lessons learned.
Support digitization and development of automation tools.
Technical Skills:
Good knowledge on some of the TDM/PDM applications like : PASS SSI , VPM etc., as an end user.
Good understanding of DMU & QC tools like context builder, Novodesk, TrendV5, 3Dcockpit , ACDC and De2Mat.
Proficient knowledge of Airbus methods and processes in the context of Configured Digital Mock-up process and Design in context
Should have basic understanding of End-to-End data movement across different applications including legacy PDM/TDM applications, one PDM/TDM applications for Single Aisle, equipment/standard parts definitions and downstream applications like APS for example.
Programming skills in Python or scripting languages will be an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of automation and data analytics to perform proactive gap analysis.
Qualification: Engineering qualification background (at least Bachelor of Engineering / Technology or Masters preferably in Mechanical or aeronautical domain )
Experience: Preferably 3-8 years of relevant domain (Design) experience
Soft skills:
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to the technical requirements.
The job requires ability to communicate in a multicultural environment
The job requires travels to Europe, as necessary for the efficiency of the project.
