Job Description:

• Lead and manage the Production Department to achieve the above stated mission: Produce all programmed products at EMPQ assuring at any time the full compliance with the required standards and the full accomplishment of the business mission and objectives in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost in a selfsustaining and continuous improvement manner.
• Execute and accomplish on time, on quality, and on cost the approved recruitment plan for production activities, with the support of the HR department.
• Define, execute and accomplish on time, on quality and on cost the continuous training, coaching and certification plan for all production workforce in the technical and soft competencies required to achieve their position objectives and responsibilities; with the support of the HR department and DUMEX training responsible.
• For Production Department employees, define career paths, define and execute performance evaluations, and promote accordingly with the support of the HR department and Plant Director.
• Manage production schedules, and workforce direct times, indirect times and overtimes to fully comply with business objectives in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Assure all production employees fully comply with the H&S norms and regulations relevant to the job executed (PPE usage, safety procedures, etc.).
• In conjunction with the H&S and Engineering departments, assure that all hand-tools, machines, equipment, facilities and in general all hardware needed for production operations fully comply with the required operational safety conditions.
• Assure the full adherence of production operations and activities to the required manufacturing instructions standards, processes, procedures and in general to any norm related to the production method.
• In coordination with the quality manager, define and implement a non-conformity management process that assures the timely and proper process of product and process non conformities. This process must consider problem solving methodologies and tools that lead to the solution of the problems at the root cause level, including countermeasure, corrective and preventive actions.
• Assure timely and proper quality inspection in the operations where this one has been delegated to Production department.
• Support Production Master Schedule responsible by continuously providing feedback on available blue collars capacity in all production lines and work-centers.
• Continuously organize and balance production operations in lines and work-centers such that an efficient use of the production resources is assured.
• Execute and assure the fulfillment of the production master schedule, with the support of the support departments.
• Assure that all production lines and work-centers are equipped in quantity and quality with the required parts, consumables, hand-tools, machines, equipment, facilities and in general production means needed to produce a product that fully meets the required standards and objectives; in coordination with GSC and Engineering managers.
• Develop and implement a strategy to set Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement working principles and philosophy in all production operations and workers.
• Define post and maintain all required KPIs for the production operations.
• Assure that all SAP and Kanban operations and activities needed from the Production Department are done properly and on a timely manner
