Job Description:
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR Developed Vetting (DV).
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Infrequent UK travel
LOCATION: Portsmouth OR Stevenage (60% of your working week must be office based)

About you
This role will suit someone who has Research, Academia or Industry experience with
ONE of the following:
Astrophysics or Electrical / Electronics Engineering with a genuine interest in space
Radiation and Nuclear Hardening
Someone who brings ideas to the table and holds your hand up with questions or spotting red flags.
Interested in working on advanced spacecraft projects such as Rovers and Satellites for Telecoms, Military / MOD and scientific (Deforestation, pollution and ice cap monitoring) clients
Builds positive working relationships and contributes to a respectful, collaborative team environment. Is comfortable providing and receiving feedback within a team environment
How you will Contribute to the team
Learn about Radiation and Nuclear Hardening with self directed learning, shadowing and using the team's knowledge and expertise including local experts
Produce and review relevant documentation - project drawings, performance analysis, bid proposals, radiation analysis, cost estimates, and schedules
Maintain technical liaison with suppliers, customer representatives,
Generate component test specification and managing radiation testing of components, project specific environment specifications
Analyse the results and ascertain if the results are correct or need revising
Experience of prioritising tasks based on information and project needs, rather than how loud someone is being
