A vacancy for a MAP Design Specialist Structure (d/m/w) has arisen within Airbus AIRBUS Site Engineering in Hamburg to support the industrial ramp-up.
You will join the Site Engineering Hamburg Structure Design team. We are a dynamic team of skilled engineers supporting the MCA Hamburg for SA & A330 program by providing troubleshooting and design solutions.

Your tasks & responsibilites

  • Delivering technical solutions to support the Manufacturing, delivery of aircraft

  • Providing technical responses to Concessions and non-conformities

  • Responding to reactive issues within scope agreed with stakeholders

  • Signing off Technical documents and Concessions for Structures Design

  • Ensuring safe operation of the product with respect to structural integrity and operational efficiency

  • Liaising with and support stakeholders such as Design Office, Chief Engineers, Airworthiness Specialists and other MAP offices

  • Work flexibly includes on call duty in rotation with colleagues

  • Propose and initiate design improvements and associated design changes

  • Transnational consultation and convergence of envisaged improvements and design changes

  • Manage and support end to end execution of targeted design changes up to serial introduction under consideration of time,

  • cost and quality

  • Contribute to the Design Structures skill profile of the team

  • Representing the team and the Design Office in front of Airlines and internal customers

Required skills

  • Profound knowledge of Design, awareness of Stress principles and structural repair solutions

  • Knowledge of the Product lifecycle management (PLM) tool sets (e.g. Taksy, DPDS, Gilda) & SAP would be advantageous

  • more than 8 years of experience in an engineering operational environment or a working knowledge of the concessions process within an aerospace environment

  • Ability to work responsibly and autonomously and be self-organized

  • Strong networking and communication capabilities

  • Fluent in English and German
