Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Software Design Assurance Engineer (f/m) to join our Hardware / Software Qualification department based in Toulouse, France.
You will be part of a team developing the quality validation frameworks and compliance baselines for Airbus systems. As part of the Software Assurance Nominee team ], you will be involved in supplier technical assessments and embedded system design reviews aiming at ensuring airborne software applications are safe, fully mature, and qualified for aircraft certification.

Your challenges:
Assess international tier-1 suppliers all along the end-to-end embedded software development life cycle.
Manage rigorous software design reviews to guarantee complete compliance with the DO-178 aviation standard.
Identify, mitigate, and report development risks and maturity bottlenecks discovered within product architectures.
Coordinate airworthiness certification requirements directly interfacing with external aviation regulatory authorities.
Drive internal quality process definitions and support implementation of standard development methodologies group-wide.
Your boarding pass:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on professional experience in embedded software development or software systems engineering.
Thorough technical command and operational understanding of the DO-178 software assurance standard.
Knowledge of standard structural benchmarks (DO-330, DO-331, DO-332, DO-200) or Airbus standard ABD0100 is a strong asset.
Familiarity with Model-Based Software Development concepts and toolsets (Simulink, SCADE) or Artificial Intelligence is highly valued.
Full professional fluency in both English and French is mandatory to operate and negotiate within our international ecosystem.
