PMO Intern – Next-Generation Drone Development (DT25) (d/f/m)
Are you looking for an internship and want to get to know the work of a PMO Intern – Next-Generation Drone Development (DT25)? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in Project Management Office as an intern (d/f/m)!
Location: Friedrichshafen
Start: 01.09.2026
Duration: 6 months
Your location
At the Airbus site in Friedrichshafen you will be working on innovation where others spend their holidays. Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Constance while having lunch in our canteen. And after work, join one of our many corporate sports groups to go running, sailing or skiing.
Your benefits
Attractive salary and work-life balance with a 35-hour week (flexitime).
A final thesis is possible after consultation with the department.
Traveling within Europe is possible after consultation and agreement from the department.
International environment with the opportunity to network globally.
Work with modern/diversified technologies.
At Airbus, we see you as a valuable team member and you are not hired to brew coffee, instead you are in close contact with the interfaces and are part of our weekly team meetings.
Opportunity to participate in the Generation Airbus Community to expand your own network.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Project Coordination: Assisting the Project Manager in tracking milestones, deadlines, and resource allocation to ensure the DT25 development stays on track.
Engineering Support: Working closely with the Chief Engineer to organize technical documentation, track engineering changes, and ensure technical requirements are clearly communicated.
Agile Facilitation: Supporting our Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) and helping the team maintain a healthy workflow.
Tool Management: Acting as a "Power User" in training for our digital ecosystem—managing tasks in Jira, organizing documentation in Confluence, and streamlining communication via Google Workspace.
Data & Reporting: Helping to visualize project progress through dashboards and status reports, turning raw data into actionable insights for leadership.
Desired skills and qualifications
-
Academic Background
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
Preferred fields: Industrial Engineering, Business Administration (with a technical focus), Aerospace Engineering, Management, or Information Technology.
-
The "Soft" Skills (The most important part)
The "Organizer" Mindset: You are the person in your friend group or study group who organizes the trips, the schedules, and the shared documents. You find satisfaction in bringing order to chaos.
Curiosity & Tech-Savviness: You don't need to know how to build a drone, but you must be genuinely interested in how they work. You are a "digital native" who picks up new software tools almost instantly.
Communication Bridge: You can explain a simple concept clearly and aren't afraid to ask "Why?" or "How does this work?" when talking to engineers.
Proactive Ownership: You don't wait to be told what to do. If you see a spreadsheet that is messy or a Jira board that is outdated, you feel a natural urge to fix it.
-
Technical Aptitude
Language: Fluent in English; German is a plus
Digital Fluency: Familiarity with (or a strong desire to master) Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace.
Methodology: An interest in (or basic theoretical knowledge of) Agile/Scrum principles.
-
Bonus Points:
Experience with data visualization (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, or even basic BI tools).
Previous involvement in student organizations, sports teams, or hobbyist projects (demonstrating teamwork and organization).
Please upload the following documents: cover letter, CV, relevant transcripts, enrolment certificate.
Not a 100% match? No worries! Airbus supports your personal growth.
