As a Data Engineer at Allianz, you'll be at the forefront of collaborating with stakeholders and analysts to uncover data requirements, leading a dynamic team of junior Data Engineers, and driving innovation by staying ahead of industry trends. We're looking for someone with a passion for ETL processes using native Azure tools, expertise in Python, Spark, and SQL, and a keen understanding of data modeling and governance. What you do

• Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to understand the data requirements.
• Coordinate and work in a team of junior Data Engineers.
• Proactively solve tasks from initiation to completion.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Understand and work within internally published Allianz Data Technology Strategy.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or other relevant fields.
• Proven experience in developing ETL processes with native Azure tools.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and governance.
• Experience in coordinating and working with junior team members.
• Upper-intermediate B2 level of English.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Informatica IDMC, Microstrategy, and SAS is a plus.
