Key responsibilities/ What you will do

Within Allianz Partners, the Senior Travel Product & Governance Manager will manage Products within the Travel Line of Business (LoB). The position is within our European Travel Product team and has a strong focus on Product Governance, especially but not limited to the UK market.

An important part of the role will be to monitor and optimise the product performance of the Western European travel portfolio and ensure Travel products routinely meet the needs of our customers.

As Senior Travel Product & Governance Manager, you will be working closely together with the Head of Travel Product for Western Europe, and you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring proper governance processes are always followed for our Travel Products within the UK market, in line with internal requirements and external regulatory requirements
  • Creation of product designs which meet the requirements of the business partner and end-customer within our Total Simplicity framework, where appropriate, ensuring that all reasonable deadlines for requests are met
  • Co-ordination of the data collection required for the completion of all regulatory required
  • Provide input on and assist with implementation of new schemes, including attending meetings with stakeholders and other parts of the business as well as with business partners, when necessary
  • Support the development of policy language including any required localisation for specific markets

Key requirements/ What you bring

To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills/ experience:

  • Solid market knowledge of the UK travel Insurance sector including Governance. Knowledge of other European markets is a plus
  • Experience of working in Product development, Governance, Underwriting or related areas
  • Fluent in English with the ability to draft clear and concise communications; additional languages (e.g. French, German) is a plus
  • Excellent MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Logical, methodical, and able to understand/execute a process from start to finish
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability and willingness to adapt to situations to work effectively as part of a diverse multinational team
  • Highly motivated, dynamic, self-steering and team player
  • Ability to work independently and quickly take on new tasks and topics
  • Excellent organisational skills and at ease with multi-tasking
