Job Purpose/Role
As a Product Owner, you will take full responsibility over regional business applications in the Finance and Human Resources scope. You will also be in charge of leading and delivering Transversal projects.
On the business applications side, you will be in charge of driving the deployment of new capabilities, managing incidents and providing support to end users.
On the projects side, you will be part of a larger team involved in rolling out the global Operations transformation initiatives for the APAC region. You will also be in charge of regional projects in the organization or digital fields.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Management
- Create and keep up to date the product backlog
- Responsible for managing the backlog, ensuring prioritized items are validated based on business value, complexity, risk, and necessary functional and technical expertise
2. Project Management
- Increase the business value of the product discussing/challenging/assessing with the different OEs, BCPs and Group Functions
- Communicate transparently about the Product Backlog and its contents
- Develop and maintain a clear roadmap for the backlog
- Define success criteria and evaluate results against these benchmarks
- Lead and facilitate sprint review sessions
- Ensure effective communication and escalation, and provide visibility over the projects progress
Key Requirements/Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in different project environment - including the application of relevant methodologies/tools
- Deep business knowledge
- Ability to understand dependencies / business impacts and challenge the different parties (and negotiate with) to determine the right priorities
- Capacity to work independently and take ownership
- Ability to motivate the team while providing a broad, global perspective
- Has Change Management experience / training
- General understanding of the lead application in his/her scope
- Strong understanding of finance operations
- Ability to understand technical challenges (preferred)
- Ability to build a business case or compute return on investment (preferred)
