Developer for Integration layer in Corporate Enabling Services Team (CES-COO)

About the Job

As a Developer, you will support the development and maintenance of a mission-critical integration layer. Your role involves contributing to the coding, testing, and infrastructure management processes, ensuring alignment with Allianz Technology standards. You'll collaborate with team members to implement solutions that meet business requirements.

What you do

  • Develop and implement software solutions that facilitate the orchestration of enterprise and external services, transforming data structures, and adapting communication to each system's peculiarities. Ensure seamless API integration and data synchronization by understanding third-party API grammar.

  • Implement transformation rules, scheduling, monitoring, and associated roles to ensure business logic is executed seamlessly across different systems. Support the maintenance of consistency and completeness of data, handle cross-service errors, and support business capabilities through the integration layer.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the integration platform, ensuring quality standards in build and deployment processes, and facilitating architecture upgrades.

What you bring

  • Higher education degree with technical focus e.g. Information Technology or computer applications or equivalent work experience (5+ years).
  • Proficiency in several of the following technologies (Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, RDS DBs, and REST APIs).
  • Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms.
  • Understanding of Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot and concepts like Java Concurrency & multithreading.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration together with experience in AWS cloud platform.
  • Experience with API design and management tools like Swagger and Postman.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI and familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Strong systems analysis and design skills, including data modeling.
  • Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and other technical issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Experience with tools like Confluence, JIRA, or similar.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Work experience in an international environment desirable.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft O365 tools, and Allianz strategic tools like Service Now.
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized (ever-changing) work situations.
  • Problem-solving skills based on practice and precedent as well as ability to analyze factual information.
  • Fluent in English. Conversational level of German (nice to have).
