Allianz Trade is searching for an elite Head of Distribution who is poised to take the business to new heights with trade-related insurance services by implementing a multi-product and multi-channel strategy.
Reporting to the Commercial Direction for Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan, this isn't just a leadership role; it's a mission-critical position for a leader with the following attributes:
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Design and execute a robust distribution strategy, building scalable processes that optimize performance and drive consistent, predictable results
- Team Leadership & Motivation: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of experienced Business Development Managers (BDMs), fostering a culture of excellence. Motivate the team to thrive under pressure and achieve Allianz Trade's commercial ambitions
- Training & Development: Develop and implement effective sales and technical training programs to ensure the team possesses deep product knowledge and superior sales capabilities
- Strategic Portfolio Management: Oversee case selection and filtering processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s risk appetite and strategic goals. Assist the Commercial Director in steering the overall commercial portfolio
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage and grow relationships with key distribution channels, including financial institutions, brokers, and direct prospects.
Candidate Profile & Requirements:
- Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree is required
- Industry Expertise: Minimum of 10+ years of proven B2B trade credit / trade finance experience
- Proven Success: A verifiable track record of sales excellence and achieving ambitious targets
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated experience in successfully managing relationships and driving business through diverse channels
- Relevant international experience is an advantage
