Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead IT delivery aspects of the assigned vertical, acting as the “Chapter Lead” and be responsible for all Technology matters including development of changes, operational running, relevant finance and governance aspects within the vertical.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • As a Chapter lead you will be responsible for the team in India working out of Pune and Trivandrum location. This team will also be part of the larger tribe within CT105 and will have delivery responsibilities.

- Manages the successful delivery and drive improvement of the Delivery Pipeline

- Will work along with the Transformation manager, Agile master and Product owner to clearly define and help the team execute the deliveries for the team

- Enables tech synchronization across shared tech platforms within the assigned vertical and across verticals as needed

- Collaborate with other vertical leads and business leads in defining and communicating release strategy and quality assurance guidelines

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster innovation and help remove impediments to delivery

- Accountable for the financial aspects of the team, example: Time booking on Snow without exceptions, appropriate usage of licenses were ever necessary.

- Align with Product owners for required skills and need for upskilling with input from the squads

- Responsible to monitor the performance of the people in the vertical

- Foster collaboration across Squads/teams on defining required technical and development in alignment with the respective Chapters and CoEs

- Synchronize technological solution among Squads and resolve technological differences and dependencies within the teams as necessary

Actively promote adoption of Allianz Technology Strategy

- Ensure active participation of self as well as encourage team members to participate in Gen AI related initiatives and Organistational activities.

- Ensure financial health of the relevant Profit Centre / Cost Centre and manage delivery within the assigned budget

- Working with other Vertical Leads to ensure a cohesive AZT roadmap plan covering all change, looking for efficiencies in overall delivery to the OE

- Foster strategic relationships with 3rd party vendors

Qualification, Experience, Technical and Functional Skills

Qualification

  • Bachelors or Masters degree of engineering or Science

Technical:

  • Total 10 to 14 years’ experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong people management skills and experience
  • Good understanding on Devops concepts and tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Core Java skills and AWS skills
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and team management skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment as well as work independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills : English
  • Provide leadership to development team
  • Client Management

Functional

Experience of working in Insurance domain is an advantage.
