Compliance in Allianz Technology Group operates as a highly integrated function spanning over all local presences of Allianz Technology globally. The role is to steer, oversee and manage the Compliance Investigations & Review team members.
It includes leading a team responsible for conducting investigations and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies, maintaining and enhancing the integrity of our compliance program, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a culture of compliance across the organization
What you do
- Oversee the effective implementation of the compliance investigations framework and act as the primary leader in addressing urgent compliance issues or crises, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Manage and coordinate compliance oversight and assurance activities, collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including control and safeguarding functions as well as People and Culture, to maintain an integrated compliance approach.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Investigations and Reviews team, providing constructive feedback, fostering professional development, and facilitating the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across the region to enhance compliance standards.
- Contribute to the development and periodic updating of compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current laws, regulations, and industry standards, while providing expert compliance advice to ensure adherence to applicable laws and internal corporate rules.
- Identify, assess, and monitor compliance risks across the region, covering all key business pillars and segments, and ensure alignment with strategic compliance objectives and corporate standards.
- Regularly report to the Company Chief Compliance Officer, the local Board of Management, and relevant committees (e.g., Integrity and Risk Committees), providing insights and updates derived from compliance investigations and reviews.
- Support the continuous improvement of compliance processes by enhancing the quality and effectiveness of investigations, reviews, and overall compliance practices across the organization.
What you bring
- Higher education degree in Law, or a related field with at least 7+ years of experience in a Compliance function or another safeguarding function (e.g., financial services, compliance, reviews, audits).
- Providing leadership experience, ideally within a Compliance function with strong understanding of state-of-the-art internal control systems.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking, negotiation and conflict management skills, with expertise in moderation and presentation techniques.
- Ability to manage tasks in demanding and unfamiliar situations, leveraging problem-solving skills on experience and precedent.
- Effective crisis management skills, with the ability to lead during high-pressure situations as well as clear and concise communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, international environment and commitment to the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct .
- Proficiency in English and German; additional languages are desirable.
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use.
