Role – As an Assistant Technical Architect, the position would be responsible for providing Consulting, Designing, Implementation and Third level support for the Global Network Edge (CNC) Operations Team. The work would primarily involve working with the Cisco Enterprise Routing & Switching solution we have deployed in Allianz, globally. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Cisco routing and switching, demonstrated experience leading network infrastructure projects from design through implementation, and a solid understanding of firewall and cloud technologies in order to be able to understand the overall traffic flow and support the Network Edge (CNC) environment in the most optimal way.
The candidate should have around 10-12 years of relevant Infrastructure experience with excellent hands on experience on Cisco Routing, Switching and Data center Technologies. The other Technologies involved in this role are as mentioned below.
Experience/Domain Knowledge needed:
Primary Skills (L3 Level expertise – mandatory requirement):
- Cisco Routing / Switching – Primary skill
- Cisco Data center Technologies
Secondary Skills (Secondary skills – good to have):
- Cisco ACI
- Checkpoint Firewalls
- AWS / Azure Cloud Technologies
- Virtualisation (VMWare / Nutanix)

Responsibilities:
- Support with Design, Consulting and Architecture activities for the global Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution in Allianz.
- Support with design, implementation and upgrade of Layer 2 and Layer 3 infrastructure using Cisco Nexus and IOS XE routers/switches.
- Provide L3 level Escalation Operational support for the Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution.
- Translate business and technical requirements into detailed network designs (HLDs and LLDs).
- Own and evolve the enterprise routing and switching architecture, including data center and WAN connectivity.
- Incident / Change and Problem Management support for the Global Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution.
- Working closely with Vendors (e.g. Cisco) and Service providers for escalated issues until resolution.
- Collaborating with Architecture, Engineering and various internal and external delivery and support teams for ensuring Optimal support for the Allianz Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution.
- Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning for network infrastructure.
- Proactively managing client engagement, technology lifecycle development, and planning and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders
- Creating presentations and demonstrations related to technology, process, or client solutions as necessary.
- Support the Information Security Officer and the Audit Units for periodic Audits / PT on the Cisco Network Edge (CNC) solution.
- Documentation of infrastructure design, procedures and processes as part of Operational support activities.
- Mentoring and provide Technical guidance for the L2 and L1 Cisco Network Edge (CNC) Operations teams, as needed.
- Must be flexible to support 24/7 operations as required and willingness to provide on-call support outside regular business hours.
Qualification, Experience and Skills
- The candidate should have around 10-12 years of relevant Infrastructure experience with excellent hands on experience on CISCO Enterprise Routing and Switching Technologies.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus (NX-OS) platforms and Cisco IOS XE routing/switching platforms.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies:
OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN HSRP/VRRP, STP, QoS, VLANs, trunking, IP addressing/subnetting.
- Deep understanding of data center and enterprise networking architectures
- B Tech Computer Engineering/E&C/MCA/BSc/MSc Computer Science /IT
- Infrastructure certifications
- Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
