About the Job
We are looking for a Security Risk Associate Intern to support our Information Security team in managing security risk assessments across multiple assets.
This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in Information Security, Security Risk Management, and Project Coordination. The intern will work closely with application owners, SPOCs and the Information Security Office (ISO) team to ensure security risk assessments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
The position combines information security knowledge with coordination and project management skills. A structured onboarding and training will be provided to help the intern perform the role successfully.
What you do
- Coordinate Information Security risk assessments with application owners across different teams, ensuring timely delivery within defined deadlines.
- Provide guidance to application owners on completing security assessment questionnaires, uploading and providing supporting evidence, and using risk assessment tools.
- Perform a first-level review of submitted evidence to ensure completeness and quality, identifying ineffective or partially effective controls.
- Support the process of raising risks in the risk register and assist the risk taskforce in tracking and managing identified security risks.
- Prepare daily progress reports and status updates for the team, ensuring clear and consistent communication of assessment progress.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between different stakeholders involved in the risk assessment process.
- Help maintain documentation related to risk assessments and security controls, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
What you bring
- Currently enrolled in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Information Security principles and risk management concepts; basic knowledge of Information Security frameworks or controls (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, or similar is a plus).
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and follow up on tasks.
- Attention to detail when reviewing documentation and evidence.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English is mandatory.
- Comfortable working with documentation, spreadsheets, and tracking / GRC tools.
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
