What you do
Allianz Partners Communications’ mission is to develop, protect and reinforce the image and reputation of Allianz Partners’ brand(s), products and leaders all over the world through the following core activities covering internal and external communications: growing the brand and managing reputation; organizing, managing and sharing information; supporting as well as communicating Group strategy.
You will report solid line into the Head of Global Communications Community (based in Paris) and in close collaboration with the entire Global Communications team, and report dotted line into the AzP Germany Managing Director.
Key responsibilities
AzP Germany – Head of Communications (60%):
- Define and execute internal and external communications plans at local level in alignment with the group communications strategy , planning and resources
- Manage local communications budget and resources
- Coach, prepare, accompany and train local spokesperson according to group standards
- Adapt and cascade local communications to the group vision, strategy and figures
- Harmonize group messaging in all internal and external communication channels (intranet, websites, brochures, press dossier, boiler plate, ppt presentation, social media)
- Ensure local compliance with brand basics (ppt templates, letterheads, email signatures, building signage)
- Monitor reputation locally and ensuring local knowledge about group press and reputation/crisis policy
- Share key local events and communications activities on a regular basis, share best practices with the communications community
- Play an active role in the global comms community (topic ideation, content creation, information sharing, knowledge sharing, global topic owner)
DACH (Germany, Switzerland, Austria & SEE) region – Regional Head of Communications (40%):
- Develop, implement and steer regional synergies and shared services for the communication function
- Ensure implementation of harmonized communication processes, standards, global tools and guidelines
- Manage and control the communications budgets, local resources (hiring, onboarding, target setting, assessment, identify needs/successes) and Coms KPIs with the business units for the region
- Manage the regional communications needs in close cooperation with the regional MD (regional townhalls, speaking opportunities, press, regional providers)
- Actively contribute to the Regional Heads of Comms community (monthly meetings, ad hoc meetings, best practice sharing, seek/give advice)
- Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insight responsibly and in line with our standards for data governance, security and ethical use.
What you bring
- 7 to 9 years’ experience minimum in Communications functions in an international environment and ability to work efficiently with a global team of colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience in managing communications experts.
- Knowledge of the overall functioning of: press relations, social media, monitoring, internal communication (intranet, CMS), event organization, video editing, images
- Strong autonomy (remotely managing local NCEE communicators and being remotely managed by your solid and dotted reporting lines)
- Diplomacy and listening skills
- Use of O365 suite (Sharepoint, Teams, OneDrive, ppt, xls)
- Use of AI (Copilot, GPT or similar)
- Excellent relational skills, collaborative attitude and team spirit, ability to engage/motivate various stakeholders in new ideas or projects
- Native German speaker including excellent writing skills
- Excellent level of verbal and written English.
