The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Regional Head of Compliance, North America, you will join the team as a North America Regional Compliance Principal Auditor, responsible for driving the design, implementation and maintenance of compliance monitoring within the Allianz Commercial NA region. You will manage and coordinate monitoring, audits and ensure appropriate handling of qualitative sign-offs required in compliance processes (e.g., economic sanctions, customer protection and anti-corruption).
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Designing, implementing and maintaining the compliance monitoring and audits for the Allianz Commercial North America region in order to ensure transparency with the implementation status of compliance programs as required.
- Preparing, performing and following up on compliance monitoring in the NA Region LE and OE, ensuring that compliance monitoring and audit-related inquiries are handled appropriately.
- Preparing reports on compliance monitoring and audit developments for the NA Regional Head for submission to local board and global boards as needed.
- Ensuring compliance audit (external/ internal) findings and requests are handled and mitigated appropriately by setting up an organizational approach to enable follow ups, as well as timely and correct responses.
- Acting as the main coordinator for compliance audit-related and regulatory requests into the organization.
- Ensuring appropriate handling of requested sign-offs, particularly relating to economic sanctions, procurement, etc.
- Driving the process of instilling a compliance ethic as best practice within the business, ensuring that Allianz Commercial as a whole appreciates the role of compliance and supports it fully.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Compliance/Audit/Governance environment in the insurance industry, including a strong appreciation of risks and controls applicable to the insurance business;
- Experience working in a large, global framework;
- Knowledge of compliance processes and methodologies, with an understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment, including relevant policies, laws and regulations applicable to the US;
- Process design experience, ideally OPEX certified (or equal qualification);
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to identify and resolve issues before they transpire with a high degree of autonomy;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to build and foster relationships, influence others and provide excellent client service;
- Ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency and contribute to data-driven decision making;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications, including strong Excel skills; and
- BA in Business/law/economics or other relevant subject;

The annualized base pay range for this role is $89,000 - $106,000 (Chicago and Alpharetta) and $103,000 - $125,000 (New York). The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
