Data Engineer, Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science (MADS)
We are seeking a strong Data Engineer to join our team. If you are passionate about Big data technologies, build scalable real-time analytical solutions, relentless in ensuring data quality and reliability, and feel comfortable communicating at different levels of leadership, you are the candidate we are looking for!
This role requires deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets, across a variety of data platforms. You have excellent business and interpersonal skills, and are able to work with business owners to understand data requirements. You are an expert in crafting, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, and efficient solutions to flow data from production systems and data lakes. Above all, you are passionate about working with huge data sets and love to bring datasets together to answer business questions and drive growth.
In this role, you will envision, design and develop data solutions to scale measurement data. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data/ETL pipelines leveraging big data technologies and modern BI products. You will help org move towards data as a service model to improve influence on day-to-day business decisions. You will influence and guide other engineers, tech team members and leaders to make informed data decisions.
About the team
Our team’s mandate is to launch and accelerate adoption of advertising measurement products and services that enhance advertiser experience both on and off-Amazon. We are responsible for defining and delivering self-service performance measurement products that enable Advertisers to understand the impact of their Advertising on consumers. Our products are strategically important to drive long term growth and operate at the intersection of Amazon e-Commerce and Advertising, which means our solutions must work at a massive scale.

New York, NY, USA
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
