Autodesk's Fusion 360 Data Services team is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with experience on server-side software development. Reporting to our Software Development Manager, you'll join a highly professional scrum team that develops data management services for Autodesk's flagship product Fusion 360. With over one million users globally, Autodesk Fusion 360 is a next-generation CAD application with an ecosystem of Client & Server components, next-generation Web client, SDK and a variety of Cloud Services that interacts with world leading CAD Products such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit.
Contribute to foundational micro-services development for Fusion 360 Data Management
Write high-quality, clean, and efficient code following our development standards
Proactively evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the systems
Contribute to writing and maintaining test automation
Collaborate with our Product Owner, Scrum Master, and extended team members and translate business requirements into high-quality micro-services to increase customer satisfaction
Research and prototype novel ideas, technologies, and patterns relating to your tasks
University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar, or equivalent experience will be considered
5+ years of hands-on experience developing cloud services and applications
Advanced with Java programming, object-oriented design principles, Spring and Jersey
Experience building large-scale micro-services and sound understanding of Caching (preferably Redis), Distributed Tracing, Eventing (Preferably Kinesis) and Scaling techniques
Experience developing RESTful web services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Jersey
Database technology: relational and NoSQL database technologies, (e.g. MySQL, DynamoDB)
Hands-on experience with unit and automation testing tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter etc.
Working knowledge of UML, Software Design Patterns, Distributed Systems, Resiliency, and Security
Strong troubleshooting skills by performing Stack trace Analysis, Thread and Memory profiling, Remote debugging
Experience with Build and CI/CD tools like Ant, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins
Experience with Git or equivalent version control system
Adaptable and willingness to work with colleagues across different time zones
Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) stack - ECS, Lambda, Batch, Step Function, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, SQS, etc.
Familiarity with Python and Groovy
Experience with Agile development practices
Experience with Search technologies like Lucene and Elasticsearch
Experience working with Jira and Wiki

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
