Autodesk Construction Solutions (ACS) is looking for a Senior Platform Software Engineer who’s ready to help us improve our customer experience by building functional systems that bring our business to new heights. Our group handles building a modern cloud deployment platform on top of AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. We strive to build systems that enable our users to quickly deploy reliable applications to production. You will help build our evolving cloud deployment platform. This position is remote in the United States with a preference towards West Coast.

Responsibilities

• Evolve our Kubernetes-based platform by delivering features that enhance application development

• Help build scalable and reliable Kubernetes clusters

• Help to define new features that improve the deployment and production experience of our users

• Code, test, debug and document new features in our Python-based Deployment process

• Collaborate with other engineers to define and execute projects

• Participate in low burden OnCall rotation

• Write great technical documentation

• 4+ years Application development experience (Java/python/go etc.) Kubernetes operator development big plus

• Experience modern cloud deployment technologies like Kubernetes and Spinnaker a big plus

• Some experience with scripting languages like Python or Java

• Some experience with AWS, Linux-based infrastructures, and Linux/Unix administration

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $139,100 and $224,950. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
