We are growing our presence in Pune, India and looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our team focused on shaping the future of Factory Design solutions in Autodesk Fusion. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Development for Factory Design, you would be someone who is enthusiastic about delivering solutions aimed at providing a Device Independent experience. You have experience in all aspects of software development.

Autodesk offers a hybrid work experience. We are also open to providing a fully remote experience to you.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and develop a high-performance team to deliver factory design features to internal consumers and external customers
  • Connect team members' work with organisational goals
  • Enhance engineering efficiency by identifying opportunities and implementing necessary improvements
  • Facilitate resolution of impediments for the team on dependencies or other such roadblocks
  • Collaborate with teams across organisational boundaries to achieve project goals and timelines
  • Promote a culture of customer-centricity and customer empathy. Solve critical customer incidents and issues promptly
  • Build Customer Trust by delivering resilient, performant, scalable, and secure solutions
  • Promote a culture of company success over individual team success
  • Participate in developing clarity on project plans and help teams adapt to required changes
  • Experience communicating achievements, updates, risks and resolutions to partners
  • Manage team performance and support each team member in their career development and professional growth

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in engineering, computer science, or equivalent industry experience
  • 8 years working experience developing commercial software applications with at least 3 of those years as a manager leading software development teams
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Experience in frontend development such as JavaScript/HTML/CSS
  • Proficiency in software development practices and methodologies
  • Experience presenting to large audiences and leading group activities
  • Experience making necessary tradeoffs to provide software solutions against accelerated timeframes
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues across different time zones
  • Experience managing changes in priorities and requirements, even if it is late in the development cycle
  • Understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with WebGL and 3D graphics programming
  • Experience building Progressive Web Applications
  • Masters in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
  • Understanding of Discrete Event Simulation
