Responsibilities: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. Develop new features and enhancements of application. Focus on quality, including writing unit/integration tests and refactoring when appropriate. Work closely with architects, technical leads, product owners, and others to drive towards a common vision. Build frameworks, automation, and orchestration for a broad range of applications. Collaborate with a distributed team and stakeholders. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineer -related occupation. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least three (3) years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Front end development experience with JavaScript based libraries like ReactJS, Angular

  • Back end and API service development experience with NodeJS

  • Responsive web designing with HTML5, CSS3, MaterialUI etc.

  • Test driven development with unit testing frameworks like Jest, Enzyme, Mocha etc.

  • Experience of CRUD(Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations with relational and NoSQL databases

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services like EC2, ELB, VPC, Beanstalk, CloudFront, Cognito etc.

  • Experience in software development life cycles using Agile/Scrum methodology

  • Experience managing CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins

  • Experience with containerization of applications using Docker

  • Debug, analyze and resolve issues with the help of monitoring and logging services like AWS CloudWatch

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $162,043 - $200,000 / per year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
