Responsibilities: Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff around product release. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for the release stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. Work with Engineering, Build, and QA teams to plan the release as per the defined milestones. Analyze release blockers, downstream impact, manage dependencies, mitigate risk, conduct release walkthroughs and communicate release status. Provide release management support for application, infrastructure and configuration deployments. Create and manage change tickets, implementation plan, rollback plans and artifacts for releases. Ensure all production deployments comply with IT security policies, engineering guidelines, and standards. Hold defect triage meetings and determine the future avoidance. Identify process improvements by automating manual work and eliminating inefficiencies in the process. Create / manage metrics and dashboard to facilitate a data-driven approach. Maintain Knowledge repository on build and release procedures and key information related to releases. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a IT/software-related occupation. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Utilize Project Management skills such as Microsoft project, Jira for planning, coordinating, and executing releases.

  • Utilize Dependency Management skills to Identify deployment dependencies and provide release management support for Application deployments.

  • Utilize Stakeholder Management skills to effectively interface with engineering teams, stakeholders, and various audiences to articulate release plans, schedules, communicate issues and delays.

  • Track and document release issues and future avoidance to improve release efficiency and to avoid recurrence of issues. Communicate with various stakeholders and facilitate conversation to understand the root cause analysis and action taken.

  • Utilize Communication and Reporting skills to provide Metrics and reporting as requested by Management

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $82,400 - $137,300 / per year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
