Dynamo's power comes from its ability to deliver sophisticated visual programming capabilities to end users in a way that makes computational design eminently approachable. Expressed within powerful Autodesk modeling tools such as Revit, Civil 3D and Alias, our users are able to create sophisticated design solutions to their biggest challenges. We are constantly improving our customers' access to powerful Computational Design and Automation tools and Dynamo is on a journey to evolve away from only a desktop application to being Cloud native and embracing emerging technologies such as AI. This requires a passionate, driven and strong QA engineer to help guide and drive the development of Dynamo on the desktop today and through this evolution into the Cloud. We are looking for someone who is passionate about problem solving and quality, ensuring our customers have the best tools they need to help them realize their dreams.

As a Software QA engineer you will work closely with software developers and other QA engineers and take an active role in ensuring that Dynamo and its ecosystem meet the highest standards of quality and will be responsible for testing Autodesk's next-generation Dynamo functionality.

This position is for a software engineer with a passionate commitment to quality software. Applying your strong QA experience, you will make significant contributions to the quality, robustness and completeness of Dynamo software. You must implement and maintain a coherent, progressive strategy for testing Dynamo, will participate in black box and automated testing of the implemented functionality.

Responsibilities

• Establish processes to ensure delivery of quality software

• Develop comprehensive software test plans, focusing on UI, functionality, performance, and workflow

• Execute test design to find and prioritize defects

• Receive defect reports from other sources (customers, product support, forums), confirm and track specific issues for use by development

• Write test cases based on real production work, and create scripts for automation

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies for requirement gathering, test planning, execution, and progress reporting

• Uphold high quality standards for the products you work on

• Support customers by addressing training issues and identifying defects

• Partner with experienced engineers, absorbing best practices in software development

• Write and run automated tests

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Civil/Architecture, or other engineering discipline.

• Background in Software Engineering / Computer Science, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or relevant domains

• 5+ years' experience in Software QA

• Strong leadership skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems. Analyzing alternatives, risks and benefits.

• Detail-oriented and strong logical thinking skills

• Flexibility under changing conditions and ability to multi-task between projects

• Familiarity with Agile Software Development Processes and Product Development Life Cycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Dynamo, Revit, Civil 3D or other competitive CAD software

• Knowledge of QA Automation tools

• Knowledge of C#, Python, and Javascript

• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitHub

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure

• Keen interest in new technologies and their timely adoption

• Ability to learn large software systems quickly
