Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and guide DevOps/SRE teams responsible for cloud infrastructure and platform services
Architect, automate, and evolve multi‑account AWS environments including VPC design, IAM governance, networking, and cross‑account communication
Build and optimize infrastructure automation using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
Design robust, resilient, and scalable CI/CD systems to support diverse microservice teams
Manage and optimize databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Aurora) for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Establish best practices for observability—metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, and performance insights
Troubleshoot complex distributed‑system issues across layers (network, service mesh, API gateways, storage, compute)
Partner with engineering leaders to scope, propose, and drive large, high‑visibility infrastructure initiatives
Ensure compliance, security, and audit readiness of the AWS environment at scale
Enable smooth cross‑team integrations by defining standards for service communication, networking, and deployment architecture
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles managing production services at scale
Deep expertise in AWS infrastructure (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, VPC, Transit Gateway, Route53, S3, IAM, SQS, SNS)
Hands‑on experience designing and managing large multi‑account AWS organizations using best‑practice governance models.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, peering, VPN, load balancing, service‑to‑service communication)
Proven skills in database management and performance optimization (MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Aurora)
Mastery of infrastructure‑as‑code and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
Robust experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, orchestration, and build systems (Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc)
Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, network, compute, and application layers
Excellent communication, cross‑functional collaboration, and leadership in fast‑paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing highly secure cloud environments with least‑privilege IAM, encryption, auditing, and compliance guardrails
Hands‑on knowledge of service meshes, API gateways, or high‑scale microservices infrastructure
Familiarity with Python, Go, or scripting languages for automation and tooling
Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry)
Prior work on infrastructure platforms supporting developer self‑service
