We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the OTT Live team at Axel Springer National Media & Tech. Our team is responsible for building and maintaining the core services that power live streaming for major media brands like BILD and WELT. We focus on delivering robust, high-availability solutions for live events, FAST channels, and monetization through server-side ad insertion. How you'll make an impact:

Design, build, test, deploy and operate production services end to end in an agile, self-managed, product-focused team
Within our microservice ecosystem, you develop and evolve new services that are observable, resilient and horizontally scalable
You raise the quality bar by writing lean, well-tested code (unit, integration, acceptance) and apply BDD where it adds value
Through automation, you codify infrastructure and delivery using GitOps and CI / CD to increase speed with the right guardrails
You keep production healthy by instrumenting metrics, logs and traces while turning incidents into learning opportunities

What you'll need:

Significant professional experience in delivering software to production
In one or two areas such as backend, data, observability or cloud, you bring deep expertise and connect dots across the stack
Hands-on experience across the full lifecycle, from requirements and design to implementation, testing and operations
Experience in at least two of the following: Agile / Lean, BDD, DevOps / GitOps, multiple programming languages or Flutter / UI development
A pragmatic mindset, enabling you to learn fast and choose the right tool for the job
