WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

For our Product Family Manufacturing Integration and Management (GDD/B) we provide fit for purpose digital solutions to enhance BASF’s Operational Excellence in Manufacturing and Filling by bridging production and business worlds and identifying levers for optimization. We provide tools for horizontal integration of business process and their execution as well as vertical integration in all areas of Manufacturing Operations Management. Therefore, we gather, reconciliate, exchange, contextualize and visualize on-time data from different source systems for all divisions in BASF.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are searching for a highly inspiring, dynamic, and collaborative leader to join our team as a product manager.
- As the Product Manager for the Manufacturing Management Team you are leading a cross-functional team which is globally distributed
- Your team supports our Internal Business Partners globally in the development and implementation of creative digital solutions in the are of SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA and surrounding areas (focus SAP PP and especially SAP PP/PI)
- You engage with all internal and external target groups on different levels of the corresponding organizations with focus on our Internal Business Partners to understand the demands of business as well as production and identify the best possible solution
- You drive the digital transformation by scouting new technologies and solutions around Manufacturing considering the big picture
- You understand and eliminate complexity to support the overall target landscape and architecture of BASF and to find innovative solutions working closely aligned with corresponding product teams and stakeholders based on your excellent network in the area of SAP
- NGBA – support the definition of the Process House for Verbund Businesses and drive the transformation for the remaining instances to stay close to standard and develop in a cloud compliant way
- Know how to convince business partners to go for global solution which is close to SAP standard; able to guide discussions
- You are responsible for the global portfolio and service delivery in terms of strategic development, business value and performance, budget/charging as well as product life cycle
- You are a role model for the team in terms of agile values and principles, creating a safe work environment for the team to enable real empowerment
- As part of the global product family leadership team, you contribute to the roadmap and help to shape the strategic fit of our overarching portfolio including organizational structure and prepare and facilitate information required for decision making
- Last but not least, you will be responsible for people planning as well as for their development to have all required skills available within the product team and be able to deliver end-to-end

QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree in an Information Technology or Business Administration discipline with 6+ years of professional experience in at least two different positions
- Profound experience in orchestration and management of cross-team, cross-product organizations, and interactions within the complex BASF environment
- Creative and inspiring working style with a strong focus on innovation as well as excellent communication skills
- Strong promoter and role model for agile transformation and servant leadership as well as entrepreneurial thinking with a high customer orientation
- Broad knowledge of SAP business processes, preferably in the area of Manufacturing
- Ideally, experience in leading a global team with openness, trust and positive attitude towards change
- Very good written and spoken English language skills, Spanish and German language skills would be a plus
