JOIN THE TEAM

The product team “OT Cloud Services” develops cutting-edge cloud solutions for digitalization of production and operational technology in BASF. As an expert consulting team, we support BASF operating divisions and other IT teams to utilize cloud technologies and edge computing across various interesting and demanding projects like AI based plant control, predictive maintenance or asset and condition monitoring.
In this role, you will ensure scalable and reliable operations of systems on both cloud and edge using container orchestration and infrastructure automation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- System administration of Linux-based systems, administration, and basic operations of Kubernetes clusters both on-premises and in the cloud
- Developing responsive and intuitive frontends applications (web apps and SPA) using modern frameworks (React preferred, other frameworks to be discussed)
- Aligning and formalizing application user experience (UX) requirements with application end users
- Aligning missing backend functionality with backend developers
- Ensuring continuous frontend availability and performance
- In certain cases: ensuring apps support multiple platforms, e.g. desktop/mobile

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education
Degree in computer science, informatics, engineering, physics or in a comparable field
Internal
• Work Experience
Minimum 3 years of related working experience
• Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Working in agile environments
- Fluent English
- Experience in industrial production and operational technology is a plus
- Strong drive to acquire new skills and learn about new technologies
