WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The unit "Digitalization of Site Logistics Management & Operations" supports BASF's divisions in responding to logistical challenges and issues with digital solutions. You will belong to an international and multidisciplinary agile DevOps team in charge of transforming the operations of BASF sites by applying consulting and latest technologies, including mobile applications, IoT devices, cloud computing, among others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibility will be to lead the functional and technical consultancy of data integration layers and data management in the field of Site Logistics (more specifically, Yard Management). In this role:
• You will receive all the requirements from our team of Product Owners of On-Premise and Cloud products and from our Product architects and will prioritize their demand
• You will align with our internal team of functional experts and decide the best way to cover our customers’ demand.
• In the area of Yard Analytics:
o You will define the relevant KPI’s to be built in our data platform
o In alignment with our functional experts and solution architects, you will steer the creation of data models that will be later provided to our customers
• In the area of the Yard Integration:
o You will coordinate the technical DevTeam to ensure that all Yard solutions can be integrated in a multi-ERP scenario
o You will align with other teams responsible for the development of the TM, MM, SD, and general ERP solutions on the approach to enable our Yard Solutions to be integrated in a multi-ERP scenario
• In the area of Downstream integrations:
o Your product area will be responsible to design and implement a concept for the generic integration layer of industrial devices (weighbridges, traffic barriers, traffic lights, cameras, etc.)
o You will define the product specific design together with the development teams
• You will monitor that all cybersecurity assessments and reviews are up to date for all interfaces following a zero-trust principle.
• When possible, you will ensure that automatic tests are in place to support the regression tests of the solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

Overall, we are looking for a senior profile with more than 10 years’ experience. Best candidates should have a technical background. Project management skills are also a plus. We require:
• +10 years of experience as functional or technical consultant in SAP, not specifically focused on programming
• +5 years in a coordination role, such as project manager or product owner
• +3 years in logistics and/or chemical industries.
• +2 years dealing with Data Integration Layer / middleware topics, especially API management, data streaming and middleware such as SAP CPI
• +1 year working with SAP´s Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• +1 year working with Azure Data Factory
• Excellent English communication skills both oral and written

• Experience with TM and WM modules is a plus.
• Cloud experience, especially in SaaS models
• Site Logistics operational/automation technology, e.g., for weighing, barriers
• Cyber security, esp. for Cloud

• SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server, SLT
